The Revit Design Engineer reports to the Vice President of Revenue
Responsibilities include:
- Use knowledge of Revit software to assist in Building Information Modeling.
- Perform routine to complex assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of computer
aided drafting system standards, practices, and techniques. - Develop increased proficiency in system operation with a resulting increase in
productivity and learn how to use all software options. - Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine the best approach to
complete drawings. - Apply judgment and make decisions with respect to drawings and input interpretation.
Review work performed to determine accuracy with input from supervisor, and other
project team members. Work with multiple trade draftsmen both internal and external to
resolve spatial conflicts - Interpret specifications when provided and apply them as required by the job task
- Provide planning estimates with limited scoping information.
- Using Revit/design drawing logic to create an architectural construction set including
floor plans, elevations, electrical plans, architectural details, door & finish schedules. - Revit model management – loading families, Revit versioning, Revit model
saving/sharing best practices. - Translating sketches and CAD/Revit documents into realized 3D models and images.
What we’re looking for:
- Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with Engineers and Designers
- Work with our engineering teams to develop structural designs.
- Familiarity with construction projects, timelines, and relevant parties and trades.
- High attention to detail and organization
- Positive attitude
- Participate in client design reviews to evaluate design concepts and make
recommendations. - Develop structural design layouts and drawings from sketches provided by engineers.
- Ability to read and understand structural and architectural drawings.
- Associate degree or higher in Computer Aided Design, Engineering Technology, or
similar program experience - Strong understanding of the construction process and job site conditions
Required skills:
- Proficiency in Revit software
- Understanding and working knowledge of Revit Families
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Critical thinking skills are necessary with the ability to plan and conceptualize.
- Hands-on experience w/ Revit –
- Enscape, SketchUp, Bluebeam and AutoCAD are a plus.
- Revit model management – loading families, Revit versioning, Revit model
saving/sharing best practices.

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 (Commensurate with Experience)
