The Field Service Engineer reports to the Construction Manager, Field Services

Requirements

  • Previous field installation experience
    • Preferred in construction or manufacturing
  • Electrical
  • Proficiency in interpreting blueprints/engineering drawings.
  • Able to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to install equipment at ground level from seated or standing position.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Work closely with scheduling, quality, and operations to understand project requirements and due dates.
  • As a Field Service Engineer, your travel commitment will range from 85% to 90% of the time.

Nice to haves:

  • Background in construction or manufacturing
  • Degree in Engineering or similar field

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Ability to execute the proper and timely installation of equipment at customer
    site/location.
  • Advise customers on the proper use, operation, and maintenance of the equipment
  • Conduct field test, completing the quality checklist and final sign-off with the customer

  • Work under minimal supervision on duties and tasks requiring advanced skills, adapting
    procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to accomplish the task.
  • Perform more detailed tasks requiring deeper knowledge and experience in the specified
    processes and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with other functional departments, such as Engineering,
    Electrical, Quality, and Project Success departments.
  • Familiar with mechanical fastener applications.
  • Experience in working with wood, or metal materials.
  • General understanding in manufacturing
  • Organized and able to multitask efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints with varying degrees of specificity.
  • Can confidently work with power and measuring tools.
  • Previous experience as a field engineer or similar role.
  • Well-versed in technical aspects of field projects, including machinery and equipment.
  • Understanding of safety guidelines.
  • An analytical mind and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather and occasional overtime and weekends.
