Gallery is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and driven Sales Engineer to champion solution-based business development opportunities for our largest and most important customers. This means we will depend on you to use your creativity and expertise to transform ambiguous and often complex opportunities into profitable and realistic deals.

In this role, you will also support the growth of the business by providing technical sales support for our customers and sales team, including the entire lifecycle of the sales process.

The Sales Engineer's responsibilities include working together with the sales team to define opportunities which increase profitable sales. Prepare presentations to explain company products to customers, discuss needs and customer requirements with the sales team, and drive solutions to satisfy customer needs by scoping opportunities, defining pricing, and gathering critical details from the customer.

To be successful as a Sales Engineer, you should be persuasive and have strong business acumen. An exceptional Sales Engineer should be adept at Finding solutions to meet the customers’ requirements and fit within the company's core competencies mutually beneficial business deals and demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills.

The Details

 

Skills and Duties include:

  • Engage in the entire sales process – project review, design submission.
  • Work with customers to present a technical perspective on the company’s sales offering.
  • Collaborate with the Local Operations Teams to obtain contractor quotes in support of
    sales opportunities.
  • Provide alternative solutions as required to meet unique end user, component, or installation criteria.
  • Assist with development of customer presentation tools and coordination of end-user site visits.
  • Develop sales and marketing strategies for key vertical market segments.
  • Interface with internal departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness of solution delivery to individual end users.

 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Meticulous and persuasive.
  • “Make it Happen” mentality that drives the team and firm forward each day.
  • Familiarity with sales in a construction, architectural, or similar field a plus.
